October is the
Month of the Holy Rosary

The month of October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary.  This is primarily due to the fact that the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated every year on October 7.  It was instituted to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in gratitude for the protection that she is giving the church in answer to the praying of Rosary by the faithful.

We turn to Mary by praying the rosary knowing that she listens to all her children’s prayers.  With Jesus, we look to Mary as our Mother and God our Father.  We ask Mary to teach us and help us by her prayers, to live as God’s children.   Let us then always pray fervently pray the rosary, our hotline to heaven.
