BATCH ’88 GIVES BACK TO THEIR ALMA MATER

The Holy Family School of Quezon City’s Batch 1988 Alumni has lined up several activities leading to the celebration of their Grand Alumni Homecoming this coming December 14, 2013. These activities aim not only to gather the school’s alumni, but to show gratitude to the institution that helped develop these individuals as well.
Earlier this year, Batch 88 led the HFS tradition of swearing in the school’s new graduates to the Alumni Association during the school’s graduation day on March 22, 2013. The HFS Alumni card was also launched during this event.
In line with its aim to give back to their Alma Mater, members of the Batch 88 sponsored training and development seminars for the HFS Faculty on April 21 & 22, 2013. These seminars included a session on the Child Protection Policy facilitated by Atty. Delia V. Dimaandal, and an orientation on sexual harassment prevention, awareness and counselling given by the Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse (CPTCSA).  HFS Alumna and CEAP Plans, Programs and Research Officer Mary Ann Cruz presented the lectures on Teaching Strategies that covered Effective Presentation Skills, Art of Questioning and Values Integration in the Curriculum.
To raise funds and facilitate stronger connections between members of the HFS community, batch 88 also organized a major fundraising activity with a film screening of “Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters” on August 9, 2013 in the SM North Edsa cinemas.
Most recently, the batch had a rummage sale in the HFS campus.
